Brush fire breaks out in Eliakim firing zone; firefighters on scene, no threat to communities

Firefighters are battling a brush fire that broke out in the military firing zone near Eliakim, the Israel Fire and Rescue Services reports. The blaze is burning in complex terrain and does not currently threaten any communities.

The brush fire in the Eliakim firing zone is one of several such incidents in recent weeks. As The Zioneer has reported, brush fires have occurred in the Tivon area, Ashdod, and Harish, among other locations. Firefighters are containing this blaze, which does not pose a threat to communities.
