The security coordinator of the outpost dispatched a drone after spotting a suspicious figure, and the footage showed the woman igniting multiple points with a burning rag, attempting to spread the fire toward the outpost. The fire was extinguished before it could spread.
The Hilltop Front Administration, which coordinates security for outposts in the region, said the footage proves the incident was 'terrorism through and through,' and warned that an entire settlement went up in flames last Shabbat, only narrowly avoiding casualties. The administration called for the security establishment to take the arson threat more seriously.
This incident follows a pattern of arson attacks in Judea and Samaria, including a similar event near the Tzur Lavi outpost reported by The Zioneer earlier this week. No arrests have been made.
