The inspection facility for Gazans returning to the Strip was relocated from the Rafah crossing area to Kerem Shalom, according to security sources, due to repeated smuggling attempts.
01 · THE DISPATCH
The inspection compound, established near the Rafah crossing to process returning Gazans, has been moved to the Kerem Shalom crossing. The relocation was prompted by repeated smuggling attempts at the original site, security sources said. The move aims to tighten security checks while maintaining the flow of returning civilians. Kerem Shalom, already a major goods crossing, now also serves as the primary inspection point for returnees.
