The Jewish Agency and the Class Action Claims Fund launched a joint grant fund for businesses economically damaged in the north and in communities hit by rocket fire during Operation Roaring Lion. Grants range from 5,000 to 20,000 shekels per business, based on set criteria.
The Jewish Agency and the Class Action Claims Fund (Keren To'annot Yitzugiyot) announced Sunday the launch of a joint grant fund, titled 'Gav La'Asakim' (Back to Business), aimed at assisting businesses in Israel's north and in communities that sustained rocket damage during Operation Roaring Lion. The fund will provide one-time grants between 5,000 and 20,000 shekels per eligible business, according to criteria set by the partners.
As The Zioneer reported on June 16, the Finance Ministry and Tax Authority are promoting a separate, broader compensation framework for northern businesses for losses incurred during the same period. The new private-sector fund supplements that state-level effort, targeting hard-hit small businesses with expedited grants.
Eligibility criteria and application details have not yet been published. The initiative comes as northern communities continue efforts to rebuild after the February-March 2026 operation.
