Education Minister Yoav Kisch responded to Naftali Bennett's lawsuit against him, stating Bennett himself was the one who decided to cancel the 5-unit study program, calling the claims false. The exchange follows a recent libel win by Bennett against a Channel 14 host.
Education Minister Yoav Kisch responded Thursday evening to Naftali Bennett's recent lawsuit against him, asserting that Bennett — not Kisch — was responsible for canceling the 5-unit study program. "There is already a libel suit against him, and the second one now deals with false claims that I stopped the 5-unit program — but he himself was the one who decided on that," Kisch said.
The remarks come days after Bennett won a libel lawsuit against Channel 14 host Boaz Golan over a false claim about the Golani induction base, as The Zioneer previously reported. Bennett has filed two civil suits against Kisch, the second of which relates to the education policy dispute. Kisch's statement provides his first on-record rebuttal.
No court ruling has been issued in the new suit; the matter remains at the litigation stage.
