A man broke into a haredi Orthodox family home in the Stamford Hill neighborhood of London on Monday evening and set the kitchen on fire while the family was inside, according to reports. Several people sustained mild smoke inhalation, including an infant who was hospitalized for observation. Stamford Hill is home to a large haredi Jewish community and has seen a rise in antisemitic incidents in recent years. The motive for the arson is not yet reported, and police have not confirmed an arrest. The Zioneer previously covered similar attacks on religious minority homes, including an arson attempt on an imam's residence in Britain (June 12) and a family arson over an inheritance dispute (June 15). This incident, however, is a separate event and its context remains under investigation.
