A 32-year-old resident of northern Israel was indicted Tuesday on charges of illegal weapons possession after police found bullets concealed inside a pillow in his living room and an FN pistol with additional ammunition in a closet, according to N12's Or Ravid.
The indictment was filed at the Nazareth Magistrate's Court, according to the report. Police discovered the ammunition during a search of the suspect's home, finding 7.62mm bullets hidden in a cushion in the living room and an FN pistol along with additional rounds in a storage closet. The suspect, who has not been named, was arrested and a detention hearing was held. Israeli police have been conducting ongoing operations to combat illegal weapons possession in the north, with similar cases including the recent arrest of an IDF reservist in Netivot on suspicion of selling weapons taken from the Gaza conflict.
