During the operation, officers witnessed one suspect firing at another individual, who was seriously wounded. The suspect was arrested after a foot chase, and a Glock handgun was recovered from his motorcycle. A second suspect was taken into custody shortly afterward.

The arrests come after the June 19 double murder of two men in their 50s in Buqata, a Druze town in the Golan Heights. As The Zioneer reported, the two victims were shot dead and brought to Ziv Medical Center in critical condition. On July 3, police arrested seven additional suspects on suspicion of involvement in the same murder. The investigation is ongoing.
