Privacy Policy

Effective 24 July 2026. This policy covers the public The Zioneer website, including MAGEN. The protected operator dashboard is an internal service and uses a separate essential authentication session.

We describe the system that is actually deployed. If the data we collect, the providers we use, or the retention rules materially change, we will update this page and its effective date.

The site stores a theme preference in a first-party cookie and may store open-or-closed side-rail preferences in local storage. It also sets a small functional cookie that records only whether your region requires an analytics consent prompt — it holds no identifier and does not track you. These settings provide the interface and privacy controls you requested and are not used to build an advertising profile. Your analytics choice, when you make one, is stored locally so the site can respect it.

Anonymous, cookie-free measurement that stores nothing on your device runs for every visitor. Persistent device and session identifiers are separate: in the EU, the EEA, and the United Kingdom we ask before using them; elsewhere they are on by default and you can turn them off here. Declining, ignoring the prompt, or sending Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control keeps only the anonymous measurement and clears any existing identifiers. Clearing site data in your browser also removes these preferences.

For every visitor, the anonymous tier records page paths, a referring host when present, locale, coarse device class, selected interactions, reading-depth and engagement events, browser performance measurements, and sampled client errors — with no device or session identifier attached. When the identifying tier is active, the site additionally creates random device and tab-session identifiers and reads campaign parameters from the URL, so return visits and acquisition can be measured. We do not ask for or place names, email addresses, full user-agent strings, or payment details in this analytics dataset.

These records are used to understand readership, diagnose failures, and improve performance and navigation. Raw first-party analytics and performance records are limited to a 90-day operational window; aggregated daily measurements may be kept longer because they do not contain the device or session identifiers. Automated rollups exclude traffic tagged as bots.

Vercel hosts the website and provides cookie-free, anonymous Web Analytics and Speed Insights. Its measurement can include the requested path, referrer, approximate geography, device, operating system, browser, and performance metrics. Vercel and other infrastructure providers may process network information such as an IP address in ordinary request and security logs.

Supabase hosts publication and analytics data in its Frankfurt region. MAGEN loads mapping resources from Mapbox when you open the live map. YouTube content is privacy-enhanced and click-to-load: no player iframe is created until you choose to load the video. Once loaded, Mapbox or YouTube receives the network information necessary to serve its content and its own terms and privacy practices apply.

We do not sell the owned analytics dataset and do not use it for targeted advertising.

Use the controls below to allow or decline the persistent analytics identifiers; the anonymous, cookie-free measurement runs regardless and stores nothing on your device. Browser controls can clear stored preferences and identifiers, block storage, or send a privacy signal. Because our identifiers are random and we do not maintain an account that links them to your name, we may be unable to identify a particular anonymous analytics record as yours.
