Beit Shemesh police have opened an investigation into the death of a 3-month-old infant on Monday afternoon, according to a police spokesperson. The infant was found unresponsive at her home and evacuated in critical condition to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
The incident follows a separate case earlier Monday in which a 2-month-old infant was found unconscious in a residential building in Beit Shemesh and evacuated in critical condition to Shaarei Tzedek Medical Center, as The Zioneer reported at 16:17. The status of that infant remains unconfirmed.
The Beit Shemesh police station is handling both investigations. The circumstances of the new death are under review, with no further details released at this stage.
