Journalist Sharon Knowlich (N12) reports that the murder toll in Arab society has reached 150 since the start of 2026, with the second victim today. The figure marks a continuing rise in lethal violence, following the 149th murder reported earlier Tuesday.
The murder toll in Arab society in Israel has reached 150 since the start of 2026, according to journalist Sharon Knowlich (N12), who reported the figure on Tuesday evening. The 150th victim is the second murder recorded today, Knowlich said.
The milestone follows the 149th murder reported earlier Tuesday at 14:21, as The Zioneer reported. The killing rate has accelerated in recent weeks: as The Zioneer has documented, the toll stood at 146 on July 4, 142 on June 30, and 127 on June 12. The Abraham Initiatives, a non-profit that tracks the violence, reported 131 Arab citizens killed in crime-related incidents by June 29, with 103 children orphaned, according to the Hamaniot organization.
The wave of violence in Arab communities has drawn sharp criticism of police handling. The number two official in the Hadash party warned on July 5 that the pace could lead to 300 murders by year's end, accusing the police commissioner of not functioning. Only three of the 14 murders reported in the past week had led to arrests, N12 reported on July 5.
The Zioneer will continue to monitor developments.
