Arad Police thwarted a major drug deal and seized a variety of dangerous narcotics in commercial quantities, according to police. Two female suspects were arrested; the drugs were found in the suspect's vehicle, police say.
Arad Police officers intercepted a drug transaction and confiscated a commercial quantity of dangerous narcotics on Tuesday morning, according to a police statement. Two female suspects were arrested at the scene. Police reported that the drugs were found in the vehicle of the primary suspect, a resident of Harish in her 30s. The case follows a series of police drug enforcement actions in Israel — including a recent raid in Hatzor HaGlilit that netted cannabis and cocaine worth approximately NIS 1 million (as The Zioneer reported on June 10), and a separate undercover probe that led to the arrest of a minor on drug-dealing suspicions (June 7). Those cases are classified as BACKGROUND items and do not assert a direct link to the Arad incident.
