By 18:45, 95,283 votes had been counted, representing 85% turnout, according to N12. Earlier, at 15:00 (four hours before close), the party reported 78,500 votes (70% turnout), and within the first two and a half hours, 50,000 members had voted (43% turnout), per N12's Amit Segal. The primary opened at 9:00 Monday with 51 candidates and 112,000 eligible voters, as reported by N12.

The election is the first primary for the Democrats, formed from the merger of Labor and Meretz. As The Zioneer reported on July 14, registration surpassed 112,000 members ahead of the vote.
