An approximately 80-year-old driver was critically injured after his car crashed into a roundabout on Herzl Street in Kiryat Ekron this afternoon. United Hatzalah medics treated the driver, performing CPR at the scene before evacuating him to a hospital while resuscitation efforts continued. Medics Idan Garsi, Yochanan Basil, and Golan Levy said the vehicle collided with the roundabout. The circumstances of the single-vehicle accident remain under investigation. The Zioneer has reported several other serious road accidents across Israel in recent days, including a pedestrian critically injured in Ashkelon on Friday and a motorcyclist critically injured in Yokneam Illit earlier this month, but no direct connection has been established.
