MKs Yuli Edelstein (National Unity) and Dan Illouz (Likud) voted against the Torah Study Basic Law in a Knesset plenum vote Monday evening, according to a report. The bill, which would enshrine exemptions from military service for yeshiva students, has been a flashpoint within the coalition.
