Newly released exclusive footage obtained by The Zioneer shows Border Police tactical undercover units raiding homes in the Arab-Israeli towns of Taibeh and Baqa al-Gharbiyye and arresting three suspects in their 20s, nearly a month after they were indicted for aiding the assailant in the June 7 combined shooting attack in the Sharon region.
The June 7 attack, which The Zioneer reported on in real time, saw a gunman strike a gas station, three community guard posts, and a passing motorist over a 22-minute span before being neutralized. The assault killed Master Sergeant (Res.) Haim Kalomiti, 55, a member of the Tzur Natan emergency response team, and wounded five civilians.
On July 2, the State Prosecutor's Office filed indictments against three Israeli Arab men from Taibeh and Baqa al-Gharbiyye, accusing them of supplying the weapon — a Carlo-type submachine gun — to the terrorist and knowing of his intentions but failing to prevent the attack. The newly released footage is the first visual documentation of their arrests, which took place shortly after the attack.
The footage underscores the ongoing investigation into the network that supported the lone-wolf attacker. The three suspects remain in custody as their trial proceeds.
