A Bulgaria Air flight from Warsaw to Tel Aviv that initially declared a hijack — and then recanted — has landed in Burgas, Bulgaria, some four and a half hours after its original departure, according to Israeli journalist Dean Fisher. A Bulgaria Air flight (Warsaw–Tel Aviv) that briefly declared a hijack and then retracted that declaration has landed in Burgas, Bulgaria, about four and a half hours after departing Warsaw, according to journalist Dean Fisher. The aircraft initially diverted toward Cyprus after the false alarm, as The Zioneer reported earlier (IAF fighters scrambled, plane bound for Larnaca). However, the flight subsequently changed course and touched down in Burgas instead. The earlier incident was attributed by Israeli media to a pilot's cockpit error. No further details on the reason for the change of destination or on the passengers' status are yet available.
