The family of the 16-year-old complainant against the taxi driver suspected of rape arrived at the Kiryat Magistrate's Court on Thursday to support her during a hearing, according to N12. The family has been joined by other women standing with the alleged victim.
On Thursday morning, the family of the 16-year-old alleged victim in the Haifa taxi driver rape case attended a court hearing in Kiryat to show support for the complainant, as reported by N12. Other women have also joined the family in standing by her.
The hearing follows a growing public and legal process around the case. As The Zioneer previously reported, a second alleged victim came forward on June 12, claiming the driver harassed her in 2021 when she was 14, in a case that was closed without locating the driver. The mother of the 16-year-old also gave an interview on June 10, saying her daughter knew the suspect and was not afraid of him, while the suspect denies the allegations and claims the contact was consensual.
The suspect remains under investigation. The court proceedings continue.
