Fire and rescue crews from the Dan District responded to a fire early Thursday morning at an industrial building on HaPeled Street in Holon. The structure, a single-story auto body and paint garage with an asbestos roof, caught fire shortly before 05:00. Shift Commander Chief Fire Inspector Oshri Basson said crews arrived to find the blaze spreading across the roof and the building's chimney pipe. The teams divided into two sectors — one extinguishing from inside the structure and another attacking the chimney with foam from the outside — while conducting searches for anyone trapped. No casualties were found. A fire investigator has been called to examine the origin and cause. The incident follows a series of structure fires in central Israel over recent days, including a blaze in Herzliya last Thursday that also caused damage but no injuries.
