The Haifa Sewage Union unanimously elected Tzachi Shomeroni, CEO of the Nesher municipality, to serve as its chairman. The role is voluntary and unpaid, and he will assume the position on September 8 under a rotation agreement among member municipalities, replacing outgoing chairman David Ezioni who served for two and a half years.
