N12 reporter Sharon Knobilich reported at 09:15 that the ministry ordered the closure of Dadu South and Carmel beaches due to contamination. Later, at 12:41, further reports from N12 and Ynet added a swim advisory for Student beach as well, following additional abnormal water sample results.
The closures and advisory do not affect other Haifa beaches. The ministry stated that the measures are based on "abnormal microbial test results" from water sampling. The affected beaches are among the most popular in the city.
