The IDF Spokesperson's Unit announced Thursday morning that Route 10 in the Paran Brigade sector will be open to the public on Thursdays through Saturdays, 08:30–16:00, from July 9 until August 29, 2026. The route connects the Bar Lev Lookout to the 10/12 checkpoint. Two exceptions: the route will not open on the Thursdays of July 16 and 23, but will open on the Fridays and Saturdays of those weeks. The IDF also noted that fire zones in the south remain closed to hikers as military training continues. Entry to the route requires a valid ID and registration at the entrance; no prior coordination is needed. The public is urged to avoid prohibited areas.
