The accident occurred near the Beit Dagan junction at the end of May. Police released a photo of the vehicle involved. The defendant is a resident of Lod in his 50s. The charges include reckless homicide (המתה בקלות דעת) and abandonment (הפקרה). The case adds to a series of serious road incidents involving electric scooters and hit-and-run drivers in central Israel.
