The indictment, reported by N12 on Monday, alleges that the driver struck an electric scooter rider and left the scene without providing aid. The accident occurred near the Beit Dagan junction at the end of May. Police released a photo of the vehicle involved. The defendant is a resident of Lod in his 50s. The charges include reckless homicide (המתה בקלות דעת) and abandonment (הפקרה). The case adds to a series of serious road incidents involving electric scooters and hit-and-run drivers in central Israel.
