An indictment was filed Sunday against Muhammad Khadour, 35, of Umm al-Fahm, accusing him of assaulting his pregnant wife during an argument at their home, according to N12. The indictment alleges Khadour became angry over the time she spent in the bathroom, threw the house keys out the window, damaged furniture, and threw a laundry basket and trash can at her, hitting her.
The indictment, reported by N12 journalist Or Ravid, is the latest in a series of domestic violence cases covered by Israeli media in recent weeks. The Zioneer has reported on similar indictments in Haifa, Holon, and East Jerusalem, as well as cases involving aggravated assault and threats. The suspect's legal proceedings are ongoing.
