A young man was indicted for allegedly photographing the Tel Aviv central bus station as part of ties with Iranian agents, according to i24NEWS. The suspect faces charges of contact with a foreign agent.
An indictment was filed Friday against a young Israeli man accused of maintaining ties with Iranian agents and photographing the Tel Aviv central bus station as part of those connections, i24NEWS reported. The charges follow a series of similar espionage-related indictments in recent weeks. In late June, a 20-year-old American yeshiva student was arrested on suspicion of photographing sensitive sites for Iranian intelligence in exchange for payments. Earlier in June, a Haifa resident was charged with performing security tasks for Iranian handlers during Operation Roaring Lion, and prosecutors sought an indictment against a Tajik national accused of documenting missile impact sites and other strategic locations. The Shin Bet and Israel Police are handling the cases. Further details on the latest suspect are not yet available.
