An indictment filed Sunday at the Haifa District Court provides a detailed account of an alleged abduction and robbery spree by three Haifa-area men in their 20s. According to the charge sheet, reported by N12 (via i24NEWS), the suspects broke into an apartment where two young victims were present, attacked them with a knife and pepper spray, and stole money and jewelry.
The suspects then forced the victims to wash blood from their faces and change clothes to hide injuries, before marching them about two kilometers on foot to an ATM. One victim was forced to withdraw cash after the suspects checked the victims' bank account balances via their phones. The suspects threw the victims' phones over a fence and fled.
The case is part of a pattern of violent robbery-abductions recently prosecuted in Israel. As The Zioneer has reported, similar indictments have been filed in recent weeks involving victims forced to recite coerced confessions in Bat Yam and Ashdod, and a separate case of abduction and robbery in Ashdod linked to organized crime. The suspects in the Haifa case have not been named, and no court date has been set. Their identities and arraignment are expected to be disclosed in the coming days.
