TL;DR

The Iranian army said it struck a US Patriot air defense system, an ammunition depot, and a radar site in Kuwait, as well as a communications system and radar site in Bahrain, using drones. The military said the attack was in response to continued US aggression against areas in southern Iran. The claims are unverified by independent sources.

01 · THE DISPATCH

The Iranian army's claims, reported Sunday morning by Israeli media citing the Iranian military's spokesperson, mark a new round of alleged attacks on US assets in the Gulf. The military stated it used drones to strike a Patriot system, an ammunition depot, and a radar site in Kuwait, and a communications system and radar site in Bahrain, framing the operation as retaliation for continued US strikes on southern Iran.

As The Zioneer has previously reported, Iran has made similar claims in recent weeks. On July 9, the Iranian military and the IRGC separately claimed strikes on US bases in Kuwait, Bahrain, Jordan, and Qatar. Those claims, like the current ones, remain unverified by independent sources. On June 11, Iran claimed a drone strike on the US Fifth Fleet headquarters in Bahrain, which US officials dismissed as unverified or false. Kuwait's military reported on June 11 that it had intercepted 24 Iranian drones over 48 hours, with conflicting accounts of damage.

The current claims have not been corroborated by US Central Command, the Kuwaiti military, or Bahraini authorities. No independent footage or official confirmation has emerged. The Iranian army's statement is the sole source for the alleged strikes.
