TL;DR

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) says it struck eight US military targets, including Ali Al Salem Air Base in Kuwait and the US Navy's 5th Fleet base in Bahrain, as part of its ongoing retaliation. The claim is based on a single Iranian source and has not been independently verified. Earlier Sunday, an IRGC statement reported hitting the same eight sites with no word on casualties or damage.

01 · THE DISPATCH

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) issued a statement on Sunday claiming that its ballistic missiles and drones struck eight US military sites in Kuwait and Bahrain, including Ali Al Salem Air Base and the US Fifth Fleet headquarters. The claim — originating from a single Iranian source — has not been independently verified. No evidence of casualties, damage, or actual impact has been reported by US, Kuwaiti, or Bahraini officials.

As The Zioneer reported earlier this morning (07:02), an IRGC statement had already claimed hits on the same eight targets, but with no operational details. This new message from the IRGC-affiliated OSINTdefender channel repeats the claim, adding the specification that both ballistic missiles and drones were used. The report is part of a sustained Iranian media campaign highlighting retaliation for US strikes on Iranian territory.

Earlier this week (June 10–11), Iran launched waves of missiles and drones at the same Gulf bases, striking in two waves. Kuwait's military reported intercepting 24 Iranian drones over 48 hours with no casualties. A US official told Reuters there were no casualties and no significant damage to US facilities. Tonight's IRGC claim mirrors the earlier pattern but is so far unaccompanied by independent or official confirmation.
