The new report from Israel Hayom places the number of Haredi deserters currently held in military prison at 27. The figure is the latest in a series of snapshots of the IDF's enforcement of conscription against Haredi men. As The Zioneer has reported, earlier this summer the number was 41 in late June, 47 in mid-June, and 42 in early July. The total fluctuates as arrests and releases continue.
