The airline says passengers scheduled to fly from Tel Aviv to Catania will depart from Ben Gurion Airport at 06:15 tomorrow to Palermo, with organized transport to Catania. The return flight from Catania to Tel Aviv will depart Palermo at 09:55 tomorrow.
Following the closure of Catania Airport earlier today due to volcanic activity from Mount Etna, Israir has announced alternative flight arrangements. As The Zioneer reported earlier, the airport was shut down as a safety precaution. Passengers originally flying from Tel Aviv to Catania will now fly to Palermo and be bussed to Catania. The return flight will also depart from Palermo. The airline is coordinating with authorities and passengers.
