TL;DR

Iranian reports indicate that a joint funeral will be held for Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and his daughter-in-law, who was critically wounded in the same Operation Roaring Lion strike that eliminated him and later died of her injuries. The funeral of Khamenei's wife is to be held together with his.

01 · THE DISPATCH

Iranian media reports this morning that a farewell ceremony was held last night for the daughter-in-law of the late Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, who was critically wounded in the opening strike of Operation Roaring Lion and later died of her injuries. The reports state she will be buried alongside Khamenei in a joint funeral.

As The Zioneer previously reported, the regime's official funeral schedule for Khamenei includes a multi-city procession beginning July 4 in Tehran and concluding with burial in Mashhad on July 9. The disclosure of the daughter-in-law's death — reportedly from wounds sustained in the same February strike that eliminated Khamenei — adds a family dimension to the state mourning.

The reports have not been independently corroborated by non-Iranian sources, and casualty figures from the February strike remain unconfirmed by outside authorities. The funeral of Khamenei's wife, separately reported to have died, is also to be held jointly, according to the same Iranian media accounts.
