The Rishon LeZion branch of the Likud party, chaired by MK David Bitan, voted Monday evening on three proposals backed by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The results, reported by internal Likud sources, are as follows:
Proposal 1: 86 in favor, 246 against. Proposal 2: 72 in favor, 260 against. Proposal 3: 88 in favor, 243 against.
The vote represents a significant setback for Netanyahu within his own party, as the branch is led by one of his prominent critics.
