A 40-year-old motorcyclist was moderately injured Sunday evening after sliding on Highway 1 near the Shapirim Interchange, according to Magen David Adom. MDA medics treated him at the scene and evacuated him to Sheba Medical Center at Tel Hashomer with head and abdominal injuries.

The incident is the latest in a series of motorcycle injury crashes on Israeli roads. The Zioneer has previously reported on similar accidents, including a motorcyclist injured near the Ganot Interchange in Tel Aviv and another on Route 431 near Rishon LeZion. The cause of the slide is under investigation.
