Former hostage Noa Argamani embraced one of the YAMAM counter-terrorism commandos who rescued her from Gaza, during a ceremony marking the 50th anniversary of Operation Entebbe. The event was held today, July 13, according to a report by The Zioneer.
The embrace took place at a ceremony commemorating the 50th anniversary of Operation Entebbe (also known as Operation Yonatan), the 1976 IDF hostage rescue in Uganda. Noa Argamani was one of four hostages rescued from Gaza in Operation Arnon in June 2024, a mission carried out by YAMAM special forces. The reunion between Argamani and the commando who helped free her underscores the personal bonds formed during the rescue. The ceremony also honored the legacy of Lt. Col. Yonatan Netanyahu, who was killed in the Entebbe raid.
