A Palestinian illegal entrant was arrested Friday morning after fleeing through Tel Aviv's Azrieli Mall upon being spotted by police detectives.
The suspect, a resident of Dahariya in the Hebron area of the West Bank in his 30s, was tracked following intelligence work by detectives from the Hebron station. According to police, when he was identified inside the shopping center he began running through the mall in front of shoppers until he was caught and detained.
He is suspected of stealing mobile phones and was staying in Israel without a permit. The suspect has been transferred to the Tel Aviv district for further questioning.
