The suspects, residents of the Bedouin village of al-Rashiida east of Jerusalem, were taken in for questioning by officers from the Judea District. Two women who attempted to evade security forces were also detained.
As The Zioneer reported at 07:38, the attack occurred when approximately a dozen assailants surrounded a shepherd from the outpost, beating him unconscious with clubs and stones. Two outpost residents who intervened were also wounded; all three were hospitalized. Sunday's bulletin reported no arrests. Monday morning's operation brought the first suspects into custody.
The Judea District police said they will request an extension of the suspects' remand. The investigation remains ongoing.
