The five were from the West Bank cities of Hebron, Jenin, and Qalqilya. The owner of the apartment where they were staying, a 48-year-old resident of the Arab village of Araba in northern Israel, was also arrested on suspicion of housing them. The location of the arrests was not specified. The operation is part of ongoing Israeli police efforts to curb illegal residency, which the authorities say is linked to crime and security risks.
