According to a report by Israel Cohen, rare and ancient items from the home of the late Rabbi Chaim Kanievsky were deposited with exhibition entrepreneur Rabbi Yehuda Breuer, including manuscripts and books of the Steipler and Chazon Ish, some predating the Holocaust.
The deposit adds to the collection of the 'Heikhalot' exhibition, which earlier received blessings from senior rabbis, as The Zioneer reported. Rabbi Yehuda Breuer, the exhibition's organizer, will display these rare items to the public. The manuscripts and books, some dating from before the Holocaust, belonged to leading Lithuanian Torah figures: the Steipler (Rabbi Yaakov Yisrael Kanievsky) and the Chazon Ish (Rabbi Avraham Yeshayahu Karelitz). The material originates from the estate of Rabbi Chaim Kanievsky, a revered halachic authority who passed away in 2022.
