Attorney Yitzhak Bam, who is associated with the party, said that the Shin Bet's role is to thwart terrorism, not to disqualify parties, and praised the agency's reversal. The Kach movement has been banned in Israel since 1994 under anti-terrorism legislation. The party's name has not been disclosed.
