According to a report, the Lebanese President has proposed initiating the demilitarization of South Lebanon, starting with the Zawtar and Arnoun areas, which have endured over 300 airstrikes in recent weeks. The proposal reportedly includes dismantling remaining Hezbollah infrastructure in these areas, and subsequently in Jarmaq and Ali al-Taher. The report claims the President has not suggested deploying the Lebanese army further south to prevent Israeli advances, and places sole responsibility on Hezbollah should South Lebanon be lost to Israel.
