The reservist, who faces court-martial, filmed himself in uniform calling for resettlement of the Gaza Strip, naming former settlements Eli Sinai and Dogit, journalist Doron Kadosh reports.
The IDF announced earlier today it will court-martial a reservist serving in Gaza for filming a political video in uniform, as The Zioneer reported. Now, the content of the video has emerged: the reservist stated, 'We are here in the field, preparing the ground for settlement — Eli Sinai, Dogit. For the reservists, for security, for settlement — yes Smotrich.' The video was published today with the Gaza Strip in the background. The reservist expressed support for Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich, who has advocated for renewed Israeli settlement in Gaza. The IDF has not yet released the reservist's name or the unit he serves in.
