Sirens were activated in Bahrain early Thursday morning (03:36 Jerusalem) following an Iranian ballistic missile launch, according to a Telegram news channel. The alert comes roughly one hour after unverified reports of explosions in Bahrain at 03:35 Jerusalem, which The Zioneer cited as a SAME-THREAD development. No reports of casualties or interceptions have emerged yet.
The Zioneer has been tracking this incident since Wednesday at 04:57 Jerusalem, when Iranian media claimed ballistic missiles and suicide drones had been launched toward US military bases in Bahrain. A security source later confirmed explosions at US bases, and additional explosions across the country were reported in the same hour. By 03:35 Jerusalem Thursday, further unverified reports of explosions surfaced, followed by the current sirens.
This is the latest in a series of alerts in Bahrain against the backdrop of US-Iran tensions. The Zioneer previously reported sirens and explosions in the kingdom on June 10 and June 28, including during US self-defense strikes. Earlier this week, sirens were also activated in Kuwait following the Bahrain alerts, as The Zioneer reported at 06:06 Jerusalem Wednesday.
It remains unclear whether the sirens are linked to incoming missiles, interceptions, or other causes. The target of the Iranian ballistic missile fire and the status of any US or allied defenses are yet to be confirmed.
