A 16-year-old pedestrian was struck by a truck in Ofakim around 06:57 Friday morning, according to Magen David Adom. Medics provided initial care and evacuated the teen, in moderate condition with a head injury, to Soroka Medical Center in Beersheba. The incident is being investigated by police. The Zioneer has previously reported on several road accidents involving teens in southern Israel this month, including a pedestrian accident in Kiryat Bialik and a motorcyclist injury in Rahat, but those are separate incidents with no known connection to this event.
