01 · THE DISPATCH

Two electric scooter riders were moderately injured on Wednesday afternoon after being hit by a vehicle on Highway 65 at the entrance to Kafr Qara, Magen David Adom reported. The riders, a 36-year-old man and a 15-year-old, sustained limb and abdominal injuries and were evacuated to Hillel Yaffe Medical Center in Hadera. MDA paramedics treated them at the scene. The circumstances of the accident are being investigated. Electric scooter and bicycle collisions have been a recurring theme in The Zioneer's reporting this month, with several prior incidents across the country — including a 12-year-old rider moderately injured in Kaokab Abu al-Hija on June 6, a motorcyclist in Lod on June 12, and a 13-year-old in Rahat on June 7 — though each is a separate event with no direct connection.
