Rodríguez expressed gratitude to Venezuela's Environmental Protection Authority and to all international groups that participated in the effort. The rescue extends a series of survivors pulled from the debris in recent days. As The Zioneer reported earlier on Monday, a father and child were rescued more than four days after the disaster. The official death toll had crossed 1,400 by Monday morning, with experts warning the final number could reach 55,000. An Israeli search-and-rescue team from Magen is operating on site as part of the international response.
