WhatsApp has filed a motion in a US federal court requesting sanctions against Israeli cyber firm NSO Group, alleging the company violated a court order barring it from targeting the messaging platform and its users. The Meta-owned platform separately announced it had thwarted a phishing and attack campaign attributed to NSO, publishing a technical guide to help users identify intrusion attempts.
