2,600-year-old burnt beams from First Temple destruction found in Jerusalem, report says

A report published on the Hnaftali website says archaeologists have discovered burnt beams dating to the destruction of the First Temple in Jerusalem. The beams are approximately 2,600 years old.

The discovery adds to a growing body of First Temple-era archaeological finds in Jerusalem. The desk previously reported on charred coniferous wood, possibly cedar of Lebanon, uncovered in the Givati Parking Lot excavation. The current report, from a single source, has not yet been independently corroborated.
