A 6-year-old boy was pulled from a public pool in Holon on Saturday evening and evacuated to Wolfson Hospital in serious condition, according to Israeli medical sources. Emergency teams performed resuscitation on site.
The boy was found unconscious in the water and was resuscitated by paramedics before being rushed to Wolfson Medical Center. His condition is now listed as serious, according to the report. The Zioneer reported earlier Saturday evening that the boy was in critical condition. At least two other children were hospitalized in serious condition after pool drownings on Saturday — a 3-year-old in Sdot Negev and a 13-year-old in Emek Hefer. The weekend has seen a series of drowning incidents as summer temperatures draw families to pools.
