TL;DR

Air defense systems were reportedly activated in central Iran and in Bushehr, southern Iran, according to separate reports from Israeli journalist Hananel Aviv and security analyst Yair Goldblatt. The activations add to a series of similar alerts across Iran in recent days amid ongoing US strikes.

01 · THE DISPATCH

The Zioneer has tracked a series of air defense activations across Iran since early June, coinciding with escalating US strikes on Iranian targets. Reports from Wednesday night, July 8, indicate new activations in central Iran, reported by Israeli journalist Hananel Aviv, and in Bushehr, southern Iran, reported by security analyst Yair Goldblatt on X. The Bushehr activation follows earlier reports of air defense activity in the same area on June 11, as The Zioneer reported. The reports come amid continued US operations against Iranian military infrastructure, including strikes on Chabahar, footage of which Goldblatt posted earlier on Wednesday. The reason for the latest activations has not been confirmed, and no casualties or immediate threats have been reported.
