01 · THE DISPATCH

Avigail, the wife of Gilad — a soldier wounded in the war — published an emotional personal appeal on Friday via the Abu Ali Express channel, urging the public to support the 'Oz LeGibor' (Hero's Strength) rehabilitation center in Judea and Samaria.

In her message, Avigail described her husband's psychological trauma as an 'invisible wound' that has transformed their household — their family conversations, interactions with their children, and Gilad's ability to be around people. She said the center is the only place that has managed to restore his sense of belonging and masculine strength, and that he returns from each visit with a brightened expression.

The appeal follows earlier reports by The Zioneer depicting the center's work. In a June 24 bulletin, Gilad himself noted the home in Ariel regularly hosts 180 wounded troops and faces high monthly operating costs, and called for corporate donations. A June 21 bulletin reported that the home — established by Gilad after he was wounded in the Lebanon war — was assisting 172 soldiers from Judea and Samaria.

Avigail's message included a donation link and urged those who had not yet joined to commit a recurring monthly contribution, saying the need is 'the call of the hour.'
